Overview – Dixon’s works on the transformation began with the removal of the existing Games time landscape and features to construct an envisioned parkland, the first in the U.K for 100 years.

- Removal of 500 trees, ranging in size and species
- Planting and relocating of 3,500 semi mature trees
- Planting over 50,000 native shrubs (bare-root & containerised)
- Planting 700,000 herbaceous plants
- Planting over 1,000,000 bulbs ranging in species
- Installing over 1,000 linear meters of hedging and fencing
- Laying over 60,000 meters of lawn reinforced & wildflower turf
- Sowing over 250,000 square meters of Wildflower, Brownfield and Grass seed
- Applying over 80,00 meters of Bark & Sowing mulch
- Constructing and laying over 6,000 meters of Geojute matting to swales
- Installing a diverse range of wildlife habitats
This has been the company’s largest undertaking to date, working with an extensive range of contractors and sub-contractors from the Public and Commercial Sector. This prestigious project, although very complex and challenging, was delivered on time and on budget due to successfully communicating ideas, developing strategies and managing resources, materials and time.
